Read in English, listen in Urdu
The Life in the UK test is taken in English. There is no Urdu version at the test centre, and no interpreter for the questions. That is the rule, and no revision site can change it.
So we do the next best thing. Every practice question stays in English, word for word, and you can tap once to hear that question and all four answers read aloud in Urdu. You choose a male or a female voice.
The English on screen is what counts. The audio is there to help you understand it, not to replace it, because on test day you read English and nothing else.
Try a question with Urdu audio
Here is a real question from our bank. Read it in English, then press play and hear it in Urdu. It is worth knowing this one whatever your English is like.

Many people from Pakistan take this test as part of settling in Britain. Written English can be the slowest part of it, even when your spoken English is fine.
Hearing a question in Urdu while you read the English makes the meaning land faster. Over time the English words start to stick on their own.
- People who understand spoken English better than written English.
- Anyone who reads slowly and runs short of time in a 45-minute test.
- Older learners who have lived here for years and are applying now.
- Anyone who wants to be sure they have understood a question before answering.

Common questions
Can I take the real Life in the UK test in Urdu?
No. The real test is in English only, and there is no Urdu option at the test centre. That is why our audio reads the English question aloud in Urdu instead of replacing it, so you practise the wording you will actually see.
Are the questions themselves written in Urdu?
No, and that is on purpose. The question and the four answers stay in English on screen, exactly as the real test shows them, and the Urdu audio is added on top. You practise the real wording while still understanding it.
Can I choose a male or a female Urdu voice?
Yes. There is a male and a female voice, and you can swap between them at any point, on any question, whichever is clearer for you.
Does the audio cost anything?
You can listen for free while you practise, with a daily allowance. Premium removes the limit if you want to listen on every question of every test.
Will listening in my language still prepare me for the real test?
Yes, as long as you keep reading the English. The audio makes the meaning clear, so you learn the facts. The English wording stays in front of you the whole time, and that is what you face on the day.
Does the audio work on a phone?
Yes. It works in any browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer. There is nothing to install.
